明代士宦祝世禄与利玛窦交游述略

A Review of the Intercourse betweenZHU Shi-lu and Matteo Ricci

祝世禄乃明末南京陪都重要官员,西方传教士利玛窦在南京期间,曾得到他许多关照与帮助,在西方文献中多有反映,但在祝氏文集中仅有“赠利玛窦”一诗存世。考述祝世禄与利玛窦的交往,阐释祝世禄诗作的蕴意,从中可揭示当时部分知识分子对西学的态度。

ZHU Shi-lu was an important official at Nanjing in the late Ming Dynasty who offered much help to Matteo Ricci when the latter stayed at Nanjing. This is recorded in many western documents; however, there is only one poem named “To Matteo Ricci” in the Zhu Shi Corpus. This paper discusses briefly the intercourse between Zhu Shi-lu and Metteo Ricci, and interprets the meaning of the poem, which reflects the attitude of some intellectuals toward western culture.
