An Open Platform with an Innovative Team——Introduction to the Center of Scientific Studies on Cultural Heritage, Chinese Academy of Sciences

This paper introduces a new institution, the Center of Scientific Studies on Cultural Heritage (COSSOCH), Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is established at the Chinese Academy of Sciences under the strategy of National Innovation. It will be an opened academic platform, tries to unify all sources serving the scientific studies, conversation, management, as well as public understanding of cultural heritage, not only material heritage, but also immaterial heritage like traditional handicrafts. The paper also points out the background and the recent plans of COSSOCH.
