关于深化高等教育改革的几点思考

Several Considerations on Furthering Reform in Higher Education

加入WTO对中国高等教育的冲击是严峻的、深层次的。我们应当树立危机意识,努力建构高质量的教育体系,培育符合时代要求的中国“大学精神”,走出一条符合中国国情的高等教育可持续发展道路。竞争条件的不对等性是中国高等教育参与国际教育竞争时竞争环境的主要特征。高等教育必须坚持可持续发展的教育观念,精心建构具有自我更新能力的高校运行体制。

The entrance of WTO means grave and profound chanllenges to Chinese higher education. So we should develop an awareness of crisis, construct a high-quality education system and nurture a Chinese “university spirit” in line with current demand so as to pave the path for China-characteristic sustainable development of higher education. Considering the inequivalent arrangement of competitive environment in international educational competition, Chinese higher education must adhere to an educational conception of sustainable development and elaberately develop a self-renewing operative mechanism in higher learning institutions.
