Digital Home: Dream Coming Into Reality

Though the idea of digital home has been brought out early by the IT magnates, such as Intel and Microsoft, the products and practical applications seemed considerably far apart from us until 2004. However, thanks to the combined efforts of PC and CE makers, being able to enjoy music and video all around the house has finally become an everyday reality in 2005. A fundamental change is happening with entertainment - it's going digital. People now receive digital entertainment on multiple form factors throughout their homes and while they are on the go. This also presents huge opportunities for content producers and distributors. It is believed that digital home will quickly enter the common families in the near future, no longer the luxury for the riches only, such as Bill Gates.
