用科学的发展观加强党的执政能力建设,提高党的领导水平和执政水平,是实现我国经济社会全面、协调、可持续发展的迫切需要,是加强党的执政能力建设的重要内容和保障。坚持科学的发展观的具体内容包括坚持“以人为本”发展观、全面发展观、协调发展观、可持续发展观与“统筹兼顾”发展观等五个方面。

Strengthening Partys governing ability based on the theory of scientific development is necessary to maintain overall, harmonious and sustainable development in Chinas society and economy. It is also one of the important tasks and guarantee of enhancing Partys leadership and governing ability. The specific contents of the theory of scientific development include such five aspects as people-based development theory, overall development theory, harmonious development theory, sustainable development theory and 'overall consideration' development theory.
