The Type-Analysis of Female Images In Chinese Folk Literature

根据女性在社会历史中的地位、作用及角色,可将中国民间文学中的女性形象分为五种类型:既有人类历史与英雄的缔造者、智慧的象征者,也有爱情的追求者和旧婚俗的反叛者、命运的受难者和艺术的创造者,以及恶毒与妖魅的化形等。进行民间文学中的女性形象类型的研究,不仅可以深化对民间的妇女观认识,而且对于人类生活共有的女性原型意象的把握以及推进女性学的深入研究,具有积极意义。

The female images in Chinese folk literature could be compartmentalized in five types according to women's position and role in the society. They are the producer of the human history and hero, the symbolist of wise, the pursuer of love who dare to rebel the old marriage custom ,the sufferer of bad destiny who could be the artist , and the avatar of gall and monster. We not only could know deeply about the women's ideas in the folk from analyzing the types of female images of folk literature, but also could grasp the archetype of the human being which would offer us another way to the field of feminism research.
