The coupled vibration of piezoelectric ceramic cylinders is studied.The natural frequency equation of the resonators is derived out theoretically.As there are no limitations to the dimensions of the resonators, the theory is applicable to any piezoelectric ceramic cylinders, such as the thick disks and the long rods.Theoretical and experimental analyses show that the method presented is simple for the analysis of coupled vibrationof resonators.Compared with one dimensional theory,the calculated resonant frequencies are in better agreement with the measured results than those of one dimensional theory.
