The article puts forwards that the essence o f the advanced shipbuilding mode is to realize, in a scientific way, perfect all ocation and optimization of the key elements of production in enterprises in ter ms of time and space. The article briefs six major elements in connection with e stablishing an advanced shipbuilding mode, i.e., the deepened working design is a foundation; system reform is an assurance; renovation mechanism is a motive; p romoting advanced technology and processes is an intrinsic demand; information t echnology is an important measure; and importance attached by top management is a key factor.
