Chinese Medical Etiology and Treatment Modalities of Irritable Bow el Syndrome

肠易激综合征多为肝郁犯脾,或脾虚肝旺所致,临证根据不同病因病机来治疗,或强调疏肝解郁为主,或以健运脾胃为主,并举验案说明。

Irritable bowel syndrome may result from depressed liver attacking spleen or spleen deficiency and liver hyperactivity. Its treatment is based on the etiology and pathogenesis, concentrates on discharging liver and relieving depression, or on nourishing spleen and stomach. Two proven cases were presented.
