The paper describes Microsoft Windows message mechanism and highlights the components of message, the transport process of message in visual basic application program. It analyzes that how to intercept message with API, solves the problem that some objects can't respond to special message in visual basic program. With the method presented in this paper, the interception of mouse wheel message is realized in education robot platform software, enhances the convenience of manipulating the software. As proved in the practice, the interception technology is really practical.It can be used to solve some difficult problems that can't be solved by normal method in visual basic.
