词语的基本特性及其任意性和象似性的可论证关系

On Characteristics of Linguistic Signs & the Relationship Between Arbitrariness and Iconicity

近年来语言界十分关注“语言与现实、形式与意义之间是否存在理据性,即语言的能指与所指之间是象似的还是任意的”这一话题,并存在争议。笔者认为,我们应该看到语言现象的多样性,承认语言符号既有任意性,又有象似性,两者共存于语言符号的统一体中。本文通过语言符号的任意性、社会性、依存性和开放性基本特质的分析,对词语的基本特性及其任意性和象似性关系的特征作了初步的探讨。

In recent years, linguistic scholars have focused on the controversial issue that whether linguistic semiotics is arbitrary or iconic, or, in other words, whether there is a motivation between the form and meaning of a language. The author of this paper holds the view that we should realize the diversity of linguistic semiotics, and acknowledge the coexistence of arbitrariness and iconicity in a language. Analyzing the arbitrariness, sociality, dependability and openness of linguistic signs, this paper tries to explore the relationship between arbitrariness and iconicity of linguistic signs.
