摘要 自适应空间信息可视化研究是新近提出的地图学前沿研究领域,以建立面向用户的自适应空间信息可视化系统为目的,是以用户模型、人机交互行为和知识推理机制为基础,具有自组织、自调整、自表达和自导航能力的空间信息可视化智能系统。本文首先介绍了自适应空间信息可视化的概念、内涵、范畴和特点,探讨了自适应地图可视化系统的核心问题,设计并提出了自适应地图可视化系统的体系结构、实现过程和其研究领域。 Adaptive geo-visualization has been marked as a research front that addresses design of a user-oriented geo-visualization system.By keeping trace of user actions,a highly adaptive geo-visualization system is able to predict the behavior of its end user and accordingly provide him with the visualization that suits his personal taste and need.An adaptive geo-visualization system does not hide its own behaviors from its end users.Such a mutual transparency is made possible by the mechanism of self-description and self-evaluation coupled with the capacity of self-organization and self-navigation based on user models.The authors clarifies major concepts and techniques of adaptive geo-visualization,points out the existing bottlenecks,analyzes the main frame and the main components of an adaptive geo-visualization system,and puts forward some research directions.Among others,the authors have discussed topics such as user modeling construction,adaptive GUI design,dynamic structuring and re-structuring of databases,adaptive symbolization,and adaptive geo-visualization system design,etc.
