摘要
“文明城市”虽然包含“现代化城市”的要求,但“文明城市”是一个包括经济、政治、文化、教育、科技、环境的综合概念。它标志着城市的进步、发展已达到“文明”的高度;它在整体上包括城市的生态文明、物质文明、精神文明、政治文明、体制文明和管理文明等。在中国全面建设小康社会、推进社会主义现代化建设的新阶段,文明城市(城区)是指坚持科学发展观,经济和社会各项事业全面进步,物质文明、政治文明与精神文明建设协调发展,精神文明建设取得显著成就,市民整体素质和城市文明程度较高的城市(城区)。文明城市(城区)称号是反映城市(城区)整体文明水平的综合性荣誉称号。
An civilized city is such a concept that includes economy, politics, culture, education, science, technology and environment. It marks the progress and the degree of civilization of a city. In general, it includes ecological civilization, material civilization, spiritual civilization, political civivilizaton, systematic civilization and so on. Now China is building a comfortable and harmonious society in an all -round way. And great achievements have been made. The title of 'civilized city' reflects the overall level of civilization.
