The Legal Guarantee in Constructing a Harmonious Society

和谐社会需要通过法治来实现并保障其运行和发展,其本质上是法治社会。法治对和谐社会的保障体现在:法律是现代社会社会调控的基本依据和社会和谐的评价标准,社会民众的普遍守法是社会和谐的前提,国家权力的依法行使是社会和谐的关键,通过法律的途径公正地解决社会冲突则是社会和谐的最后保障。

A harmonious society, in essence, is one governed by the rule of law that safeguards its operation and development. Law is the basis for social regulation and sets a criterion for a harmonious society; the general abidance by law is the premise of social harmony whereas the carrying out of state power by law is the key to social harmony; to solve the social clashes impartially through jurisprudence is the ultimate shield to social harmony.
