The Principle of Design for SOC STB Based on STM5105ALA

首先说明了数字有线机顶盒及SOC的特点,然后介绍了新型解码芯片STM5105ALA,并以其为视频解码芯片设计了一个典型的SOC机顶盒。不仅说明了该机顶盒的硬件构成,而且详细讨论了其信号接收和信号解码的工作原理,最后指出了其可以增加的功能。

In this paper we presented the characteristics of digital CATV set top box at first. Then we introduced a latest decoding microchip STM5105ALA, designed a SOC STB. We not only illuminated the conformation of hardware in STB but also discussed in detail the principle of its performance on signal receiving and signal decoding. At last we pointed out its extensible functions.
