交通的发展使镇江扬州成为两个连体城市,在市场经济条件下,促进经济一体化的发展,两市要努力做到以人为本,富民为先,坚持"双赢"的理念,加强区域内资源整合,优势互补,联动发展,既竞争又合作,从而产生"乘数效应",要以沿江开发为载体,加大政府的支持力度,以文化为纽带,做大做强镇扬经济圈。

<Abstrcat> The development of transportation makes the cities of Zhenjiang and Yangzhou the twin cities. In order to promote the progress of economic integration under the condition of market economy, the two cities should mount people-oriented efforts, enriching people as the primary task and focusing on 'win-win' principle to enhance the integration of resources and complementary advantages inside regional areas. Meanwhile, on the basis of the development along the Yangtze river, the enlarged governmental supports and links of cultures, these two cities may as well cooperate and compete with each other, thus bringing about economic 'multiple effects' and making Zhenjiang and Yangzhou more profound economic zone.
