The Market Structure and X Efficiency in China's Telecom Industry : An Empirical Study

摘要本文利用赫芬达尔-赫希曼指数分析了中国电信业重组后的市场态势,建立了以市场结构为解释变量的随机前沿分析(SFA)模型;运用1995～2002年的统计资料对中国电信业市场结构与X效率进行了实证研究.研究结果表明,目前我国电信业的市场结构正在向着趋于合理的方向迈进,产业重组是有效率的. The paper analyzes the reconstructed market situation of China's telecom industry with Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI).Considering market structure as the explanatory variable, A SFA model is established. Based on the statistical data from 1995 to 2002, the paper carries out an empirical study on the market structure and X efficiency of China's telecom industry. Finally, the paper shows that the market structure is going toward reasonabiling and the reconstruction of the industry is efficient.
