八十年代初,费孝通开始专注于小城镇研究,小城镇成为费孝通近20年辛勤开拓的领域。本文主要分析了费孝通小城镇建设中注重乡镇企业建设的意义,小城镇解决人口和劳动力的分流意义和小城镇实体论思想以及建设有中国特色的社会学的小城镇研究思想等方面。

Fei Xiaotong has opened up industriously to study in the small town in the past 20 years . This text has analysed mainly that the construction meaning of the township enterprise in Fei Xiaotong's small town construction, including meaning of small —town solving people and workforce etc, and the thought of the theory of small town entity and ideology of small town research of sociology with Chinese characteristics .
