悬挂在联合国大厅的世界地图上,标有中国四个城市的名字,其中一个就是重庆。重庆是世界关注的城市。2005年6月18日,重庆直辖八年。8年来,重庆以开放的姿态走向世界,世界以关注的目光聚焦重庆。到目前为止,重庆成功举办了近10次高规格国际性会议和活动:与174个国家和地区建立了经济贸易关系:世界500强企业在重庆兴办的企业达47家;重庆已与世界9个城市建立了友好城市关系:有5个国家在渝设立了领事馆,5家境外媒体在重庆设立了常驻机构;每年到重庆旅游的外国游客与日俱增;巴渝文化奇葩香飘海外……重庆直辖8年的历程,就是不断国际化的历程。重庆在与世界的一次次握手与对话中,迅速崛起。

On the world map hanging in the U.N.Hall are clearly marked the four cities in China and Chongqing is among them.Chongqing is the focus of the world. June 18,2005 is the 8th anniversary of the municipal city of Chongqing.For the 8 years,Chongqing has entered the world with her opening-up gesture and the world has focused her attantion to the city.During the 8 years since Chongqing became a municipality directly under the Central Government of China,the city has successfully hosted nearly 10 high-standard international conferences and activities and has estab- lished economic and trade relationships with 174 countries and regions.The world 500 top enterprises have set up 47 enterprises in Chongqing and Chongqing has established a friendly relationship with 9 cities in the world.Up to now,5 countries have set up their consulates in Chongqing and 5 foreign media have estab- lished their resident offices in the city.Every year,there is an increasing number of foreign tourists flooding into Chongqing.The world has smelt the fragrance of the rare flowers of Ba-Yu culture.The history of the municipal city is a process of the internationalization of Chongqing.Chongqing is rising abruptly as she shakes hands and communicates time and again with the world.
