马尔库塞是法兰克福学派的重要代表,《单向度的人》是其对发达工业社会进行批判的一篇力作。认真梳理马尔库塞的科学技术即意识形态以及消费异化的观点,重温其内涵的批判精神,对于我们克服在大力发展社会主义市场经济的今天不同程度存在着的重科学、轻人文,重物质、轻精神的倾向,反省现代化进程中的种种负面现象,抵制物欲的膨胀和拜金主义盛行,具有可贵的启发和借鉴作用。

Marcuse was an important representative of Frankfort School,and his work Man of Single Dimension is a masterpiece in which he criticized the developed industrial countries.To our reference,it is enlightening to sort out carefully Marcuse's viewpoints that science is nothing but ideology and that of consumption alienation,and to review the critical spirit the book reveals when we are fighting against the tendency of valuing science and material,belittling humanity and spirit.While examining various negative impacts taht appear in the course of modernization,we should also combat the swell of desire for material comfort and the popularity of money worship.
