日本的城市道路规划,有许多独到之处:一是将高速路系统引入城市道路交通规划,这有利于大量的及大运量的机动车较为迅速地进出城市;二是城市快速路系统和干道系统分得很清楚;三是路幅宽度很小,十分节省城市建设用地;四是居住区强调人车分离。

There are many special merits about theurban transportation in Japan.Firstly,the highwaysystem is introduced into the urban transportationplanning which is helpful in speeding up the inflowand outflow of motor vehicles of large capacity andin large numbers.Secondly,there is a clear distinc-tion between the urban expressway system andthe urban artery system.Thirdly,the road width ismade very small in order to economize on the landfor urban construction.Fourthly,stress is laid on theseparation of pedestrian and vehicles in residentialareas.
