英语中移就修辞格的结构由转移修饰语和中心语组成。被修饰的中心语只是形式上的被修饰语,而真正的逻辑被修饰语有时存在于语境之中,有时存在于语境之外,甚至偶尔难以确定,应加强英语移就格对英语翻译方法作用的研究。

Transferred epithet in English is composed of a transferred epithet and its center word.The center word of a transferred epithet is no more than the formal modified object.The logical modified object is sometimes present in the context and sometimes outside the context.In the latter case it is difficult to determine what the logical modified object is.The article conducts an investigation into the functions of transferred epithet in English and the techniques of translating this kind of figure of speech from English into Chinese.
