学科馆员是信息资源与学科用户之间的桥梁,主要应在院系用户培训、专业文献信息服务、图书馆与院系师生之间的沟通与协调以及为图书馆提供学科用户所需文献目录等方面全面履行其职责。

Academic librarians are the bridges of information resources and the academic users, They should perform their duty in all the aspects of training the faculty; the information services of academic documents; the communication and coordination of the libraries and the faculty and their offering to the libraries the necessary bibliography for the academic users.
