休谟问题是逻辑哲学上的一大难题,历史上西方学者提出过多种解决方案,但都存在着不同程度的局限性。金岳霖是中国最早深入研究休谟问题的学者,他用类逻辑形式证明、哲学分析等办法给出了一个颇具特色的解决办法。

Hume’s problem is a quite difficult one in the history of philosophy of logic. Although many western scholars have suggested various solutions in the history, their plans are limited to certain extent respectively. Jin Yuelin, the earliest Chinese scholar to probe into the essence of Hume's problem, has put forward a quite distinguishing solution from the formal proof of quasi logic, philosophical analysis and so on.
