摘要
近代中国私立大学在经费不足、办学条件极为艰苦的情况下,积极开展科研活动,并取得了较好的成绩。它们在科研活动中表现出讲究实用、体现爱国热情、发挥环境优势、名师主导、服务教学等特点。近代私立大学积极开展科研活动,提升办学层次,提高社会声誉的一些做法值得当代民办大学借鉴。
During the modern times, the private universities in China were lack of money and in a difficult condition, but theytried their best to do some scientific research and gained great achievements. They showed some characteristics in their researchactivities that are of great value for current private universities to drawlessons from their successful experience in the scientific re-search.
