解读《白马论》

Unscrambling “On White Horse”

将《指物论》的基本思想贯穿于《白马论》的理解中,认为公孙先生在《白马论》中主要是从内涵和外延两个方面去明确一般概念(马)和具体概念(白马)间的区别的,这一分析路径表明了公孙先生对中国古代形式逻辑概念理论的重要贡献;同时指出了公孙先生处理共性和个性关系上的形而上学错误。

The basic idea of “Content Theory” is adapted in the understanding of “On White Horse”.It is believed that in “On White Horse” Mr.Gongsun distinguished the general concept (horse) and the concrete concept (white horse) in terms of connotation and extension. This approach of analyzing indicates that Mr. Gongsun contributed a lot to the ancient logic concept and theory of China. Meanwhile, this paper points out the metaphysic mistakes made by Mr. Gongsun in dealing with the relationship between generality and individuality.
