Defects and damages of castings occurring during in the manufacturing and using them are introduced. Concerning using manual electric arc welding, beginning with identification of casting pig and its welding functions, an analysis on the welding methods for mending and the operation skills is deeply made in this paper, and the result will get big economic benefit when it is used in production.
