The modern geodesy is one of the most vital and the quickest development in sciences nowadays. It becomes a key subject to resolve the basic problem of geoscience and is one of the pillar discipline for earthquake science and earthquake prediction. According to the development trend of earthquake science and the national target and requirement from protecting against and mitigating earthquake disasters, we must hold opportunity and make sound foundation, as well as to develop CEA′s predominance in geodesy and global observation technology. It is necessary to establish the study-experiment-equipment system of the modern geodesy as soon as possible.
