Contaminated condensate of pulping and evaporating plants is the main source of COD and BOD of the effluent of the KP mill, the capital and operation costs of effluent treatment of the mill can be reduced significantly when the secondary condensate is seperated from the contaminated condensate and treated with different ways such as steam stripping. And the COD and BOD discharges of the mill can also be minimized by using a closed contaminated condensate circulation syatem, therefore a best economy and environmental benefit can be obtained.
