摘要 DLP(DigitalLightProcessing数字光学处理)技术是把MEMS(MicroElectromechanicalSystem微电子机械系统)技术运用于投影而取得的一项重大成果。它由TI(德州仪器公司)的LarryHornbeck博士在1987年发明,于1996年形成正式产品投入实际应用。目前,其已成为大屏幕数字电视机、公司/家庭/专业会议投影机和数字影院系统中的主流。本文就其原理、优点和在我国的应用发展状况进行了简要讨论。 As a MEMS-based digital projection display technology, DLP has made tremendous progress since it was invented by Dr. Larry Hornbeck of Texas Instruments in 1987. In 1996, DLP was brought to the market as the world's only digital projection systems. Today there are world class projectors available for a wide range of applications that range from large screen digital TV sets, business and conference projectors to home theaters and digital cinema. This paper presents an overview about the way DLP works, the advantages of DLP, and the applications of DLP in China.
