日本形象在中国现代文学中的流变经历了两个阶段。“九·一八”事变前,日本形象处于意识形态化与乌托邦化所构成的张力之间,作品中既有对日本的否定、批判与丑化,同时也对日本表现出一定程度的仰慕、迷恋与美化。“九·一八”事变后,作家对于日本的集体想象迅速滑向了意识形态化一极,日本失去了它在前一时期文学中的某些可爱之处而演化为一个妖魔化的他者形象。

The development of Japanese image in modern Chinese literature Und er goes two stages.Before the September 18th lncident,the Japanese image is betwe en Ideology and Utopia,and the literary works reflect the negation,criticism a nd uglification to Japan,as well as admiration,infatuation and beautification in a certain degree.After the September 18th Incident,the collective imaginati on of writers about Japan was shifted into Ideology,Japan lost its some lovely aspects and changed into a hideous otherness.
