Resources and Environment Subject Information Portal (RESIP) , is a project supported by the Chinese National Science Digital Library (CSDL) , which aims to integrale Internet resources in resources and environment sciences, earth sciences and other relaled subjecl disciplinaries. Then the paper overviews the main conslruclion process of RESIP from aspects of its objectives, selection guidelines and standards, deployment of the service system, organization of domain information resources, and etc. Finally, the paper shows the applicalion perspeclives of the RESIP, then the sustainable development of RESIP is discussed at the end of this paper.
