根据船舶流组成、航行速度和避碰操作的统计特征,定量得出船舶安全航行的相关要素。对水域中船舶流出现的频率研究,定量得出水道通过能力。这些研究方法对船舶避碰和高效组织港口、桥区、闸区船舶运行有很好的指导意义。

This paper presents the theory of traffic flow and its applications in water transportation.The quantified elements involved with safety of navigation are achieved by observing the statistic characteristics of ship flow's components,speeds and the actions of collision avoidance to support ship operation.The quantified result of channel-transiting ability is given and based on the appearance frequencies of traffic types.The theory plays significant roles in the fields of ship collision avoidance and efficient traffic-organizing in vicinity of ports,bridges and locks as well.
