再谈中古汉语处置式

The disposal construction in Middle Chinese

中古汉语是处置式产生的初期,此期处置式可以分为两类,一类是"以"字处置式,另一类是"取"字处置式(包括"持"、"将"、"捉"、"把"等)。两类处置式的产生过程,前者是从连动式到工具式,工具式再发展为广义处置式,最后出现类似狭义处置式的用法;后者从 O_1与 O_2不同指的"V_1O_1V_2O_2"连动式发展出广义处置式,从 O_1与 O_2同指的"V_1O_1V_2O_2"连动式发展为狭义处置式。

The disposal construction first emerged in the Chinese language during the Middle Chinese Period(i.e.,Eastern Han and Wei-Jin Period).The disposal construction of this period can be divided into two groups—the'yi(以)-construction'and the'qu(取)-construction'(including chi (持),jiang(将),zhuo(捉)and'ba(把)constructions').The first group developed from the serial verb construction to the instrumental construction,then from the instrumental construction to the broad disposal construction,and finally to a form similar to the narrow disposal construction. The latter group,the qu-construction,can further be divided into two subgroups.When O_1 and O_2 referred to different objects, V_1O_1V_2O_2 developed into the broad disposal construction.When O_1 and O_2 referred to the same object,V_1O_1V_2O_2 became the narrow disposal construction.
