摘要
语言是文化的载体,而文化的差异又影响着不同语言之间的正常交流。因此,学习一种语言必然要学习这种语言所代表的文化。通过对比词汇在中、英两种语言文化背景下不同涵义来探讨英语词汇教学中如何融入文化知识,提高词汇教学的效率,达到词汇教学的真正目的,从而培养和提高学生的跨文化交际能力。
Language is the carrier of culture and the cultural difference has a great effect on the interlingual smooth communication, which leads to the necessity of acquiring cultural knowledge carried by language. On the basis of different connotative meaning of chinese and English words within their respective cultural contexts, the discussion is made on how to teach culturally-loaded words to improve lexial teaching. Its teaching aims can be realized by such methods so that students' cross-cultural communicative ability can be developed and strengthened.
