Sedimentation Divisions of Pearl River Mouth

依据水动力环境、沉积物类型、粒度和成分的特征，同时参照沉积速率、地貌形态等因素，把珠江口划分为５个沉积区：径流型河口砂质沉积区，以河流作用为主，系珠江口海区沉积作用最活跃的地段；潮流型河口泥质沉积区，潮流作用显著，并受陆架水入侵顶托影响，为现代河口细颗粒泥沙快速沉积区；残留砂沉积区，主要受陆架水入侵控制作用，是一局部侵蚀的海相环境；现代河口泥沙混合沉积区和陆架浅海泥沙混合沉积区，两者分别介于上述三个沉积区之间，其动力条件及沉积特征则具有过渡相环境的属性。
