咳喘安口服给药，能抑制二甲苯和琼脂引起小鼠急慢性炎症反应；减少氢氧化铵引发小鼠咳嗽反应次数，并延长咳嗽潜伏期；延长组胺引发豚鼠哮喘潜伏期；增加小鼠气管内酚红排出量；对呼吸道常见致病菌肺灭球菌、金葡菌有抑菌作用；同时提高小鼠细胞和体液免疫功能。

Through a series of experiments in mice, it was shown that oral intake of Ke ChuanAn He Ji can counteract inflammation (xylene-induced ear edema and agar-induced granuloma), decreasethe frequency of cough induced by ammonium hydroxide and prolong its latent period,prolong the latentperiod of asthma induced by histamine , increase the phenol red output of trachea, exert bactenostaticaction on the common pathogens in the respiratory tract, and enhance humoral immunity and cellularimmunity.
