In this paper, the particular technique of using epoxy resin for low speed main diesel engine of ships is described and foe authors, experiences of examing the design as well as supervising of resin pouring process are summarized. It is emphasized that the reliability of epoxy rasin for main diesel engine can be ensured subject to the strict design and good quality control.Thus this technology should be accepted in maritime circles.
