IL－4作为B淋巴细胞存活因子的研究

本文研究了ＩＬ－４对ＣＢＡ小鼠骨髓前体Ｂ细胞（Ｂ２２０￣＋ｓＩｇ￣－）分化的影响。实验结果表明：ＩＬ－４无论存在与否，都不影响前体Ｂ细胞的分化；但是ＩＬ－４可以促进前体Ｂ细胞的存活，抗－ＩＬ－４抗体１１Ｂ１１能够抑制ＩＬ－４的这种促Ｂ细胞存活作用，因而我们认为ＩＬ－４并不是直接影响Ｂ细胞的分化，而是通过促进Ｂ细胞的存活而间接影响Ｂ细胞的分化。

It is known that some growth factors play an important role in this maturation process. In or-der to analyze IL-4 on B cell development we have studied the effect of IL-4 on the CBA mouse bone marrowpre-B(B220￣+sIg￣-)cell differentiation. We found that IL-4 did not influence the frequency of newly generatedBcell(sIg￣+).However,the total number of B cell was significantly higher in cultures with IL-4 than that innormal controls. Anti-IL-4(11B11) antibody could completely prevent the effect of IL-4 on B cell survival.Therefore,we concluded that IL-4 does not influence the pre-B cell differentiation but maybe important for Bcell survival.It maybe possible that in the process of B cell development,IL- 4 acts as a survival factor to pre-B cell and some other factors directly induce B cell differentiation.
