To begin with the relation between electric power and environment .the environment problems from electric power production and its improving ways are analysed. International environment protection treaties, stipulations, relevant emission criteria, which are strict nowadays,and as a consequence,the arising technical improvements of electric power production as well as its developping trends are briefly introduced. The plan and foreground of coordinated development between electric power and environment in China's future are prospected finally.
