This artical deals with the induced polarization characteristic of groundwater in red formation, the possibility of estimating depth of groundwater using electrode spacing adapted the abnormal in induced electric, and difference in induced electric being between groundwater and confined rock by some examples looking for groundwater in red formation used induced polarization method. It shows that this method has peculiar advantage.
