摘要
介绍了一个基于微波散射双尺度模型的散射系数工程计算方法,根据AAFE ̄[1]机载雷达散射计数据,拟合确定了计算公式所需参数。该算法可以反映散射系数迎、顺风不对称性的重要特征。计算的精度和效果与现有的若干方法相比也是令人满意的。
Presented in this paper is a practical algorithm for computing radar backscatteringcross sections from sea surface based on the so called “wo-Scale Model”. The depen-dence of backscattering coefficients are expanded into Fourier series and two of the firstthree Fourier coefficients are determined by fitting the AAFE RADSCAT measurements.The short wave spectrum adopted in the algorithm is proposed by the present authors andwill be detailed in a seperate paper. The capability of predicting the well documented up-wind─downwind asymmetry of backscatter cross section constitutes one of the features ofthe present algorithm. Several sets of measurements of microwave backscatter from seasurface by different authors covering X (10 GHz) band, Ku ( 13. 4GHz) band and Ka(34GHz) band were used for comparision with the prediction of the present model. Mean-time the predictions by engineering model (SASS-1 algorithm)and physical model werecompared with that of the present algorithm as well. The results of all of such compari-sions were satisfactory.
