Those features having more influence on the disgnosi of boring skidding defectare selected by using stepwise discriminant analysis on the basis of the wilks Λ criterion.The linear discriminant functions are derived from myes discriminant model on condition that sample is o f normal distribution. The method in the paper is simple, rehable and can be apPlied to quality control of bearing production.
