It has been indicated by theory and practice that the extraction of tineaments of remotely sensed image is of advantage for exploring mines chemically and prediCting gas and oil on large continental area. Regsrding the correSpondence between actoral geological structure and remotely sensed image, the streak detsction method is used to extract tineamentS.The good result is available by experiment.
