With au extent of over 70% of exploitation in mineral occurrences and about 45 % of utilization in mineral species,the significant progress as mineral management in Jiangsu over last ten years have been made. There exist some problems containing the propagation and education of mineral laws and regulations;unperfect enforcing organizations of mineral laws and poor subordinating relations among them and an unsuitable knowledge structure for the personnel. The problems,a obstacle for the further development of mineral management,must be overcome by enlarging the strength of propagation of mineral laws,speeding up the construction of mineral management organization at all levels ,upgrading the level of performance and promoting a healthy development of legal system in mineral management in Jiangsu.
