The retrieval of geological document in Chinese falls into indexing and searching.The searching is divided into the artificial and computer searchings.By introducing book-like search way and its operation method,the composition,structure,function and seeking measures of documental retrieval catalogue currently used in the public and professional libraries at home and abroad bave been presented in detail.The narrating key is on the general method and course of band-searching documents.Through the understanding of retrieval method,relevant information could be well handled by readers to enhance the working efficiency and decrease repetition.
