成熟的处于盛产期的母鸡用于做阴道腺的组织化学检验,检验结果表明,阴道腺很大程度上含有糖元,而子官腺及上皮组织不含碳水化合物或只含粘多糖,阴道腺含有以颗粒形式存在的脂类,可能为分泌性的.估计为磷脂或混有其它脂类的混合物,腺体同时也分泌酸性磷酸酶,没有蛋白质合成及分泌位点.

A detail investigation was given to vaginal gland on itshistochmical composition, such as glycogen, lipid protein, and acidphosphatase. It resulted that the vaginalgl contained, to a greatextent, the glycogen, whereas no carbohydrate or only mucopolysac-charideexisted in glandulae uterinae and epithelial tissue;vaginal gland alsocontained lipid in granulesl probably secretory actionl which might bephospholipin or the composition mixed with other lipids;at the same time,glanduar organ secreted acid phosphatase, but no protein synthesis andsecretory portion existed.
