In this paper introduced are the 2-dimensional spectral observation of a SF/Cl.9 subflare in HeI 10830 on Dec. 29, 1993 and its preliminary data reduction. The main results are as follows: (l) On the monochromatic image of HeI 10830,there is no'bright area',as Rust pointed out, with intesity higher than the continuum, but on the image of residual intensity, there are four areas whose intensities are higher than other points and vary obviously during the flare process,(2)All'bright areas'of HeI 10830 are corresponding to Ha bright areas of the flare, but not vice versa;(3)Two of the'bright areas'are located in the penumbra of sunspot, one extending into the umbra of sunspot and one possibly at a small pore; (4)The profiles of HeI 10830 in all'bright areas' are red-shifted or red asymmetry, indicating that there exists down-ward motion of material with velocity less than 16km/sec. As the flare process goes on, the velocity decreases. The characteristics of this subflare are very similar to those of the points observed before, whose intensities are higher than the continuum. Therefore we think they result from the same physical source, and the low intensities of the 'bright areas' may relate to the X-ray intensity of the exciting sources.
