The paper explicated the concept, essence, patterns and contributing factors of sport management system, and the characteristics of different patterns such as government-run, society-run and mixed system.Characteristic features of China's system, internal and external conditions for the reform of sport management system of China were analysed. The current state of organizational system of China's sport and the main trend of reform in this regard were also presented.
