Automatic brake is one of the essential functions of the automatic control system in cold strip rolling.Combined with the years experiences of maintenance and development,a complete and brief description of the concepts,functions,designing model and algorithm of the automatic brake is made,and some deficiency in the original design and the feasible measures are put forward as well.
